Maria Lozito is a homeschooling mom in Okeechobee, Florida. At her house, art isn't a once-a-week thing. It's part of most days. She and her husband Anthony are raising two kids, ages 5 and 8, and a lot of their learning happens right at the kitchen table, usually under a pile of marker caps and a cup of gray paint water.
Maria figures art is how kids think out loud, so she cares more about the process than a perfect result. Over the years that's meant a whole lot of crayons, washable markers, watercolor sets, and craft kits coming through the house. She isn't testing them in a studio. She's testing them in a busy homeschool, where supplies have to be safe, actually washable, and tough enough for small hands.
