Grace Hahn is a writer and homeschooling mom of five living on a quiet rural homestead with her husband. With five kids at home, there's almost always a project spread across the table, a half-built kit on the floor, and someone asking how something works.
That everyday curiosity is what pulled Grace toward STEM. She reviews the building and science kits her own kids dig into, from LEGO Technic sets and Snap Circuits to Thames & Kosmos experiments, and writes up the honest results: what actually holds a child's attention, what's a struggle to put together, and what's worth the shelf space.
Because she's testing with a houseful of different ages, Grace sees how a kit lands with a curious six-year-old and a more demanding pre-teen in the same week. She pays attention to the things parents care about, like sturdiness, clear instructions, real learning value, and whether the fun lasts past the first afternoon.
Alongside the kits, Grace creates and reviews printable coloring pages and other at-home activities, the simple, low-cost things that keep kids busy and learning between the bigger projects.
